Fox Payne’s Charity Partner is Duchenne UK and specifically the Ben vs Duchenne family fund. 

Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a progressive condition which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken, including the heart and lungs.  It almost always affects boys and is typically diagnosed in childhood between the age of three and six.  

One of the boys affected is Ben, who lives in Sonning Common, just up the road from our Fox Payne Caversham base.

Very few people have heard about Duchenne.  Fox Payne are helping to raise awareness as well as funds for Duchenne UK.  There is currently no cure for Duchenne, but there is hope.  Duchenne UK are at the forefront of advancing treatments and care for everyone affected by the disease.

On Friday 11^th September the Fox Payne team together completed a 12 mile walk along the Thames Path from Caversham to Henley.  We would like to thank everyone who sponsored us and have helped to raise nearly £5,000 for Duchenne UK.
